Whilst some might scoff at the idea that a Lada could be a classic car, it actually does meet the criteria; it's an old car which is no longer in production and there's enough interest in it for it to be collectable rather than scrapped.
As with any classic car, there is money to be made selling them, 14 years ago a Lada Rivera could be purchased for £50, they're now worth £2,000.
The massive increase in ordinary cars being considered classics isn't limited to Ladas either - cars such as Ford Cortinas and Capris, original Minis and even Austin Maxis are in high demand.
