New research released today by Insurance.co.uk reveals that more than 18 million motorists in the UK (52%) believe they would fail their driving test if they had to sit it again. Women have the least confidence in their driving ability, with 59% believing they would struggle to pass, compared to 46% of men. But it appears they are the better drivers, as almost half of male motorists (48%) have penalty points on their licence, compared to just 31% of women.
